After the chemical dwells and softens the paint, we use plastic razor blades to lift it cleanly from the surface. This works on latex, oil-based, and epoxy paints. The process is repeated on stubborn areas until the glass is fully clear, then finished with a professional window cleaning.

Yes — this is one of our most common post-construction jobs in Jacksonville. We use professional acidic mineral removers that dissolve the calcium and cement compounds in concrete and stucco without etching the glass. After the chemical treatment softens the material, plastic scrapers remove it cleanly. Heavily cured concrete may require multiple treatments, but we can restore glass that looks completely destroyed.

Metal razor blades scratch glass — even when used carefully. The scratches may be invisible in normal light but create a permanent haze when sunlight hits the window at an angle. Metal blades also destroy low-E coatings on energy-efficient windows. Plastic razors are firm enough to scrape off paint and concrete but cannot scratch glass regardless of pressure or angle, making them the only safe choice for construction window cleanup.

Liquid mask is a peelable protective coating applied directly to window glass before construction starts. It dries into a flexible film that prevents paint, stucco, concrete, and other debris from bonding to the glass. When construction is finished, it peels off in sheets taking all the debris with it — leaving the glass spotless underneath. It costs a fraction of what post-construction chemical removal costs and eliminates the risk of permanent glass damage entirely.

We use a three-layer protection system: liquid mask applied directly to the glass, UV-resistant painter's tape along all frames and edges, and heavy-duty plastic sheeting secured over the entire window opening. This system blocks even heavy stucco overspray from reaching the glass. When stucco work is done, we remove the plastic sheeting and peel the liquid mask — the windows come out completely clean.

Yes — when the right chemicals are used correctly. We use construction-specific paint dissolvers formulated for glass that break down paint without etching or hazing the surface. We always test in an inconspicuous area first. We never use acetone, lacquer thinner, muriatic acid, or abrasive household cleaners on glass — these cause permanent damage that no cleaning can fix.
